Mina Nawe House episodes 3-4 recap: Mina Nawe tattle-tales
New episodes of Mina Nawe House Season 2 are now streaming on Showmax from Moja Love, with two episodes dropping every week. Catch up on all the drama that the couples admitted to when they walked into Mina Nawe House Season 2 in our recap of episodes 1 and 2.
Kitchen gossip
The playful morning talks between the cast in Mina Nawe House are “chef’s kiss”. Things got sexy and silly in episode 3, with the couples chatting about how they got together. The sex talk was raucous, especially when Sthembile the cougar and cheeky Sakhile revealed that the first time they hooked up they were leaning up against a lamppost, which felt cold against Sthembile’s backside.
Three of the men huddled in a corner trying to figure out how gay women “do it” in a way that should really make us feel sorry for their own partners. And Abel got a ribbing for forgetting Koketso’s birthday. As the bond built between them in episode 4, though, the housemates called out Abel for overstepping politeness when he reached in to hitch up the front of Sthembile’s pants. And people were starting to pick up that Abel believes he can do no wrong, which led to ...

The gasp moment!
Mina Nawe House has shown Salima and Imraan living their faith. They don’t drink or party, and they have been leaving the night’s celebrations around 8 or 9pm so they can rise early for prayers. The rest of the housemates are clearly feeling some kind of way about the couple standing apart from them.
But it’s Abel who plays the snitch. He takes Imraan aside during breakfast and asks him how he’d feel if he knew that Salima had tasted alcohol while socialising with the ladies of the house (no, but we actually gasped). Imraan shuts down the tattle-tale immediately by pointing out that Salima has her own choices to make. And when Abel checks that Imraan wouldn’t punish her, Imraan emphatically says, “Never!”. As Abel (not necessarily maliciously) points out that Salima really loosens up and smiles and dances when he leaves the room, Salima realises that everyone in the house thinks Imraan oppresses her.
Imraan literally waves his finger in Abel’s face to lecture him about “telling on” Salima. And we see “Mr I Can Do No Wrong” sitting with his head bowed in shame and admitting that when he joked earlier that he wouldn’t eat any food prepared by the couple, that comment was hurtful and isolated Salima and Imraan.
Later, though, Sakhile points out that Imraan is acting like a pastor instead of working on his issues. And the theme of putting up a front really explodes when Siyabonga and Imraan have to talk Senzo off a cliff after Senzo packs his suitcase to leave the house because Lungile has picked a fight with him (yet again) while he was cooking to make up for the fact that she was doing nothing.
Our next big question for Mina Nawe House is…
When Senzo was cooking for the group in episode 4, what was he doing with the meat? Why was the wors in the pot, Senzo?
