Nigerian Showmax Originals bag 10th AMVCA nominations
Continuing its success on the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) stage, Showmax Nigeria Originals Wura and The Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOLagos), have once again earned recognition with three nominations at the 10th edition of the AMVCAs.
For this milestone edition of the awards, the second season of Wura, Showmax Nigeria’s first Original telenovela and fan-favourite series, received two nominations in two categories: Best Writing TV Series and Best Scripted Series.
The second season of the Nigerian adaptation of The Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Lagos, vies for the award of Best Unscripted Series.
Winners in these categories will be determined by a specially selected jury headed by ace filmmaker Femi Odugbemi.
With a diverse array of original content and an unparalleled understanding of the African market, Showmax continues to push boundaries and redefine storytelling and entertainment in Africa.
The main event of the 10th AMVCAs will be held on Saturday, 11 May 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria.
