Rhuthee vs Wanni X Handi: The Buzz episode 4 recap
Episode 4 of Big Brother Naija: The Buzz Season 9 delivered exactly what fans have been waiting for – unfiltered comments, inside scoops, and buzz-worthy moments!
Joining Toke Makinwa on the couch was digital content creator Austin Betha, who didn’t hold back as they dissected all the jaw-dropping moments of the past week. The chat kicked off with a discussion of the wager task and Rhuthee’s dramatic eviction. “What’s been your biggest highlight so far?” asked Toke. Betha’s response was as candid as it gets: “Definitely the moment when Floruish got evicted and Wanni X Handi started with that ‘po po po’ taunt – and then the slut-shaming followed. ‘Watch us from home, b***h,’ they said.”
Toke was quick to weigh in, noting the Housemates’ trash talk didn’t quite match their actions. “I feel like the twins were all bark and no bite,” she said. “They were cooking noodles, but this girl cooked you both!”
The conversation took a deeper dive into Housemate dynamics, focusing on the tension between Rhuthee and Wanni. Betha pointed out how the Mayor of the Streeze duo tried to play peacemaker, while Toke added that Shaun’s attempts to calm Wanni didn’t quite seal the deal. “Shaun was putting her to rest but he did not seal her mouth, when someone says that my sister and I are having sex with the same man, Big Brother House is going to burn down!” Toke quipped.
Betha explained that when a woman is with a man she loves and respects, “if he tells me, ‘Betha, keep quiet,’ I will shut my mouth in that moment - not that I won’t come back for you later.” She also talked about the triangle involving Chinwe, Rhuthee, and Nelly, saying, “You can’t beat a drum and then tell me how to dance.”
Moving on to one of the show’s most talked-about moments – the awkward snub when Rhuthee left the house. The Mbadiwe twins tried to hug her, but she wasn’t having any of it. Toke joked, “Maybe they’re guilty by association, because they’re also twins.”

The episode didn’t shy away from the juicy relationship gossip either. From the simmering chemistry between Ozee of the Mbadiwe twins and Onyeka, to Victoria’s potential game strategy, no stone was left unturned. Betha cheekily advised, “If you need to cough to stay in the game, cough!” highlighting how anything can be a strategy in Biggie’s house.
In true BBNaija fashion, the show explored whether Housemates are using ships as game tactics. Toke asked Betha about Nelly and Sooj’s budding romance, which Betha brushed off as just another game move. “Nelly’s smart; she knows what she’s doing,” Betha noted.
The steamy moments between Wanni and Shaun also sparked discussion, with Toke joking, “I think I’m a hater because Wanni’s with my man!” On the other side of the house, Topher’s advances towards Anita were scrutinised, with Betha suggesting that he’s “forcing it” and isn’t being genuine.
Rounding off the episode, culinary and lifestyle influencer Dr Kelly Sampa joined the chat, sharing his thoughts on the ongoing tensions between Rhuthee and the Wanni X Hanni duo. “You can tell they still have each other’s backs, even when they’re at each other’s throats,” he commented.
Fans of The Buzz were also given a voice through a vox pop segment, with many expressing their disappointment at Rhuthee’s exit and surprise over the eviction of Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh from the Streeze duo.
