Rob Peace (2024)
Based on a true story, Rob Peace stars Jay Will (Tyson in Tulsa King) as a brilliant young man destined for greatness at Yale. Raised by his devoted mother, Rob risks everything he has worked for to free his imprisoned father.
Oscar nominees Mary J Blige and Chiwetel Ejiofor play his parents, with Ejiofor also directing and adapting from the bestselling book The Short and Tragic Life of Rob Peace, written by Peace’s real-life friend and Yale roommate, Jeff Hobbs.
The cast includes Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire), four-time Emmy nominee Michael Kelly (Lioness), Oscar nominee Mare Winningham (Dopesick) and Grammy nominee Camila Cabello, who starred in 2021’s live-action Cinderella.
“Rob Peace isn’t the story of an ‘Ivy League drug dealer’,” The Wrap says, “it’s the story of a human being who deserved way better than what society gave him.”
Rob Peace was nominated for Outstanding Independent Film at the 2025 Image Awards.
