
Showmax and Capitec join forces to offer big discounts on streaming vouchers
Capitec's 12m active app users are now able to buy Showmax streaming vouchers from only R40 a month – less than R2 a day – exclusively on the Capitec banking app.
Showmax, which is aiming to become Africa’s leading streaming service, and Capitec, the biggest digital bank in South Africa, have joined forces to make entertainment and sport more affordable.

- Less than R2 a day for entertainment on mobile

- Click on "Redeem voucher".
- In the "New to Showmax?" section, enter your Showmax voucher code.
- Click "Create account and redeem".
- Enter your details to create an account.
- Click "Create account" and start watching.
For existing Showmax subscribers
- Go to www.showmax.com.
- Click on "Redeem voucher".
- In the "Already have a Showmax account?" section:
- Click "Sign in to redeem"
- Enter your login details and click "Sign in".
- On the Accounts page, in the Plans & Payment section, scroll down to "Have a voucher or promo code?"
- Enter your Showmax voucher code.
- Click "Apply".
- Finally, click "Yes, redeem now" and start watching.

The Showmax discounted vouchers are now available to all Capitec clients via the Capitec banking app. In the month of June 2025, Showmax customers can enjoy the full season of The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad, including the explosive reunion special; plus, the African-themed animation Iyanu. International fans can look forward to hit series like the fourth season of HBO's Hacks; thrilling movie Mountainhead, starring Steve Carell and Ramy Youssef; and the highest-grossing musical adaptation of all time, Wicked.
