As the international break draws to a close, the world’s most-watched football league, the Premier League, makes a triumphant return. Matchweek 8 promises a feast of fixtures, with some mouthwatering clashes set to enthral fans across the globe.

The standout match of the weekend sees the league leaders, Liverpool, lock horns with a rejuvenated Chelsea. Both teams have been in scintillating form, and this encounter is sure to be a battle for the ages.

Elsewhere, Manchester City will be looking to maintain their title challenge when they face a resolute Wolves side. Manchester United, meanwhile, will be aiming to bounce back from their recent struggles against a Brentford team that has impressed in their first season back in the Premier League.

Arsenal will also be in action as they face a Bournemouth side that has shown glimpses of quality. The Gunners will be hoping to continue their strong start to the season and cement their place in the top four.

The weekend kicks off with a mouthwatering clash between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in a London derby. Ange Postecoglou’s men will be eager to make amends for their late slip-up in their previous match and build on their promising start to the season.

While the PSL will only return next week, local football fans need not despair. The Carling Knockout is back with a bang, and the game of the round sees Kaizer Chiefs take on SuperSport United in a highly anticipated clash. There are plenty of other exciting fixtures to look forward to as well.
