Sophia Momodu shakes things up on RHOLagos S3
With episodes 2, 3, and 4 serving up a feast of high fashion, shifting loyalties, and unexpected alliances, The Real Housewives of Lagos S3 is hitting its stride and turning up the drama. Now, with the arrival of Sophia Momodu, the group dynamic is evolving in ways no one saw coming.
Laura and Carolyna’s unexpected meeting looms, Dabota and Mariam’s tension is brewing, and Sophia is stepping into the mix with confidence and style. But how will the rest of the cast respond to her presence?

Here’s a recap of all that went down!
Dabota and Diiadem make their mark
Dabota Lawson made it clear she is not one to be overlooked. With confidence, sharp wit, and an undeniable presence, she is setting the tone for the season. Meanwhile, Adeola “Diadem” Adeyemi continues to command attention with her poise, business acumen, and effortless style. Whether the admiration from the group is genuine or masking something deeper remains to be seen.
Elsewhere, the original Housewives are navigating their own paths. Laura Ikeji Kanu remains focused on expanding her business ventures while balancing personal relationships. Mariam Timmer is juggling career and family commitments, though not without its share of conflict. Carolyna Hutchings is deep in event planning, but as always, where there is a social gathering, tensions are never far behind.
Diiadem’s Afrocentric party and the Laura-Carolyna standoff
In episode 3, Diiadem hosted an Afrocentric-themed event that embodied the luxury and cultural richness RHOLagos is known for. However, beneath the polished exterior, tensions were brewing.
Dabota and Mariam’s interactions were noticeably strained and how this tension develops in the coming episodes remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Dabota and Carolyna shared an unexpectedly heartfelt moment, proving that genuine friendships can exist within the group.
The evening’s most surprising development, however, came when Carolyna publicly apologised to Laura. Given their longstanding history of conflict, the gesture was unexpected. While the other Housewives encouraged Laura to reciprocate, she remained firm in her stance, stating, “I’ll do it on my own time.”
Whether that moment of reconciliation will come remains uncertain.
Carolyna’s movie premiere and Sophia Momodu’s entrance
In episode 4, Carolyna continued to make strategic moves, inviting the ladies to the premiere of her upcoming film My Fairytale Wedding, while Sophia Momodu made her debut and wasted no time making a statement with her boisterous presence, her bold personality and her unapologetic stance on relationships. Her conversation with Mariam, initially centred on business and fashion, quickly shifted to a more personal topic - her views on relationships. Sophia’s directness left an impression when she stated “wetin I wan carry poor man do?”
In her diary session, she further elaborated: “I don’t think a broke man will know what to do with a woman like me.”
Describing herself as a Gemini with multiple personalities, she is poised to become a key player in the group’s dynamics.
Laura and Carolyna: a step toward reconciliation?
In a surprising turn, Laura revealed that she intends to invite Carolyna for a private discussion.
After previously expressing uncertainty about where she stands with Carolyna, her decision to reach out raises questions. Is this an attempt at genuine reconciliation, a strategic move, or something else entirely? Whatever her intentions, the outcome of this conversation could shift the group dynamic in unexpected ways.
What comes next?
With Sophia’s arrival reshaping the group’s energy, seemingly unresolved conflicts between Laura and Carolyna lingering, and growing tensions among the Housewives, RHOLagos is delivering the intrigue, glamour, and confrontations that define the franchise.
Will Laura and Carolyna’s conversation lead to real resolution or further division? How will the Housewives react to Sophia’s outspoken views? And with so many strong personalities in one space, which relationships will strengthen - and which will fracture?
