The Mommy Club S1: Nunurai expresses her doubts about the Mommy Club friendship

Being part of a friendship group comes with its challenges. While some people might naturally gravitate towards each other, others tend to feel like outsiders at one point or another. When it comes to The Mommy Club, Nunurai certainly has her doubts about where she stands with the ladies.

Her fears were triggered after she had an argument with Omuhle on the previous episode of the Showmax exclusive reality series. Nunurai asked the media personality about the father of her baby, a question that turned their cosy event sour. Omuhle didn’t appreciate Nunurai’s  curiosity and told her so in no uncertain terms.

Is this friendship real?

On the latest episode of the show, Nunurai expressed her feelings about her new circle of friends. “I feel like in this friendship group what has been happening is, like, I can really say that the true colours are coming out. I don’t know. I feel like the people don’t want anyone that doesn’t agree with them,” she said. Nunurai added that the ladies just want to be showered with compliments about their appearance.

During a video call with one of her close friends, Nunurai detailed her unpleasant interaction with Omuhle and how the question of her baby’s paternity came about. “This woman [Omuhle] just started going off. Then she was just like ‘hey, I’m a fan of her. I’ve been following her life’.”

The friend then asked what was so special about Omuhle, to which Nunurai responded: “That’s what I was telling her.” Nunurai still stands by her comments about never seeing Omuhle on TV. “If we don’t really know what you’re acting in or what production you are in, your fame is kind of irrelevant to us,” she said.

For the most part, the ladies have been getting along - we can only hope that the tiff between Nunurai and Omuhle will get resolved soon and that Nunurai’s faith in the friendship will be restored.
