The Mommy Club S1: Is it too soon for Her Majesty to get married?

They say love should be given a chance every single time, and that’s exactly what Happy is doing. Happy, who’s popularly known as Her Majesty, is ready to tie the knot once again and this time, with someone from her past.

The mother and businesswoman revealed on The Mommy Club that her man, who’s based in Nigeria, popped the question and she said yes! While this is great news for her, some of her co-stars have been questioning whether she’s ready to move on after losing her late husband just a year ago. While hanging out with Mrs Mops for lunch, Her Majesty shared details about her love life.

While this is a beautiful part of her journey, Mrs Mops has her reservations about the engagement and mentioned that she’s not sure if it’s the right step for her co-star just yet. “The engagement for me is too quick. Dating is not a problem, but being engaged for me, after you’ve just lost your husband – it’s not even a year – that is too quick.”

Her Majesty explained that this is someone who’s been in her life since she was a teenager. “I don’t know if I want this or what. But I do love him, shame. You know? I dated him when I was like 19. He engaged me when I was 19.”

Mrs Mops then realised that her newly engaged co-star didn’t just agree to marry someone she met recently. “It’s not what I thought it was. I just thought she met a random in Nigeria and married him,” she shared.

Although she’s happy about her engagement, Her Majesty is in no rush to walk down the aisle. “Wedding talk? Gosh, I don’t know. Yeah, it’s too soon.” She added that this step in their relationship might also be long overdue. “This is not a person I met last week. He’s the father of my baby. And I know him like 15 years ago, he’s my first love. I loved him dearly,” she said.

Their conversation taught Mrs Mops one thing: to not make judgements too quickly.  You can watch new episodes of The Mommy Club every Tuesday on Showmax.
