The Real Housewives of Abuja episode 8 recap: “Morally stable woman with plenty hair colour at your age”
Comfort and OJ Posharella connect over lunch in this episode of The Real Housewives of Abuja. They seem more compatible than Comfort and Tutu Pie, but she wears OJ out with her elder sisterly vibe. During their lunch, OJ goes into one of her dramatic characters and speaks with an accent, but Comfort isn’t comfortable with it and thinks it is a teachable moment.

“For someone to have so many characters and to be able to weave in and out,” she comments. “It makes you wonder; at what point do you see the real person?”
It is such comments that are causing issues between her and Tutu. OJ is just vibing; it is not that deep. She is a happy soul doing happy things, but Comfort often rationalizes everything, which sucks the fun out of life. The continuous need to be a moral guide is partially why she and Tutu have a large falling out in this episode. Tutu brings up the lingering issue of being tagged immoral and walks out on the ladies while lambasting Comfort.
Samantha’s fashion event
In the last episode, we saw Samantha instructing her worker to tailor some of her new designs. She has good taste and loves to play with bright colours — even Tutu Pie, the ever savage wife, notices.
“I have always said to Samantha that I am definitely interested in her pieces,” she compliments before dropping a shade: “We kinda have the same style-ish. I mean her style, what she makes, not her style as in what she wears.”
Sammy is hosting a small fashion event at her studio. Her collections are predominantly holiday-themed, but there is a section with a mix of everything. The fashion show is intimate and sweet, with some of their kids modelling. Jeyi Princess Jecoco’s kid, dripped in a yellow two-piece is a scene stealer.
Princess celebrates her anniversary
It is the seventh anniversary of Princess’s marriage. Her husband, Henry, takes her out for a romantic dinner. He showers her with compliments as she blushes sheepishly. They make jokes and are greatly comfortable with each other. Love is truly beautiful!
“Honestly, there is no secret to a successful marriage,” Princess advises during her confessional. “Marrying someone that lets you be you. That is very important because I can’t imagine me, outspoken Jecoco, turn-up queen, vibe goddess, energy queen … imagine my husband was not … nah, it wouldn’t work.”
Tutu squashes her beef
Tutu’s beef with Comfort has gone too far! After the verbal insults at Samantha’s events, she admonished her on their WhatsApp group with even harsher words. “Morally stable woman with plenty hair colour at your age,” Tutu begins the insulting rant.
Fortunately, she admits her words were cruel and her anger about how she was perceived is not an excuse.
“I can’t even begin to explain to you how fucked up it was for me to put another human being down and take personal jabs and attack them,” she tells Arafa, Comfort and Princess.
She continuously reiterates that she feels terrible, and Comfort doesn’t deserve any of it. Princess appreciates her courage to admit she’s wrong. But Arafat doesn’t believe a word; she thinks the apology is fake.
Princess calls Arafa a snake
As the tension dies down, Princess faces Arafa, and she might have a point. She says Arafa is a snake because she continuously leaks private conversations to third parties.
“This whole situation with Comfort and Tutu stemmed from you snitching on your friend,” Princess starts. “She told you something in confidence… I see the way you play people; you said so many things about OJ; you said so many things about me.”
Princess’s point is Arafa shouldn’t be telling Tutu the unflattering details of a private conversation she and Comfort had – and then ‘unlook’ when things blow up.
