The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 3: The past comes calling with gbas gbos
Just like that, the ladies of The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 3 unleashed the drama on us, and we’re here for it!
From bling shopping to a major heated exchange that’s been long coming, here’s all that went down on this episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos.

Iyabo confronts Laura over her absence at the beach outing
Clearly still salty over Laura’s absence at her beach party, Iyabo invites Laura over to a spa session to discuss things.
Given her last encounter with Laura, Iyabo expresses her ambivalence over the meeting and hopes that Laura shows up “with a positive spirit so I don’t unleash on her”. Laura, meanwhile, is out to “get Iyabo on my side”. Safe to say both ladies realise how potentially awkward their meeting could be.
Mercifully, the meeting goes mostly well as Laura apologises for not calling ahead to say she wouldn't be coming. She also maintains that her reason for not attending was her fear of entering boats, plus “half of the girls there are not my friends”.
Issokay.
Just when we think the meeting between Iyabo and Laura will end on a high, Laura shares the reason for her coldness towards Chioma and Carolyna with Iyabo. After taking several jabs at Chioma and Carolyna, including how she “really doesn’t give a sh*t about Carolyna”, she ends with “I just feel like if I had come for the reunion I would have given her a dirty slap”.
Wahaluur!

Carolyna and Chioma go bling shopping
Ladies and gentlemen, this ship is approaching the high sea and at this point, we think a hashtag for this blossoming sismance is in order, so we'll open the floor with #Carma.
Our fave TV besties go bling shopping because the luxe life is very on-brand for Carolyna and Chioma. While shopping, Carolyna reveals that she buys jewelry to invest and her man “has to propose with a rock as big as his head and then I put it in my safe".
Wahala for who no get billionaire bae!
It’s not long before they start to talk about the beach outing and Chioma asks Carolyna what she meant by the toast she gave to “gold-digging”. Carolyna explains that she has very high standards (when it comes to picking a partner) and equally brings a lot to the table. So, for her gold-digging doesn’t literally mean "digging for money", but that she’s digging for gold in every aspect of her life including with her business and faith.
“I’m just looking for things to add value to my life. I can’t be digging for things that I can’t even bring to the table.”
Preach, sis!

Chioma sets the record straight
Following her meeting with Laura, Iyabo meets up with Chioma for a run where she relays her conversation with Laura. Chioma is surprised to learn that Laura regards her as a friend, and points out that outside of business, the pair don’t have a relationship.
“I love all my clients but I think using the word friend is a far reach. I would describe Laura as an acquaintance and a client.”
Iyabo then goes on to inform Chioma that Laura said she would have slapped Carolyna if she had gone to the beach and Carolyna said the things from the game to her face. Chioma is clearly upset over the statement, which she considers disrespectful.
“If she slaps Carolyna I’ll slap her back, you can’t do that,” she fires.
Ghen ghen!

Gbas gbos
The ladies finally meet again after their first outing at Toyin’s, and with a lot of unfinished business among the group, it’s not long before there’s a heated exchange.
The problem starts when Toyin arrives and teases Laura about coming for this event but not the beach outing. The ladies then start to talk about the games on the beach and Laura tells Carolyna that if she had something to say (about her), it shouldn’t have been behind her back. Carolyna maintains that it was just a game and also had some seemingly hurtful things thrown at her as well that she didn’t take too seriously.
Soon after, Chioma confronts Laura about the statement she made about slapping Carolyna, and Laura is shocked that Iyabo threw her under the bus. While Carolyna is reeling over this, Iyabo defends her decision to relay the conversation to Chioma.
“I can say anything I choose to say, I don’t have somebody giving me restrictions on what to say, we’re not buddies, I don’t owe you any loyalties where I have to filter what to say.”
Wahala be like bicycle.
Sensing she’s on her own, Laura quickly tries to clear the air, stating that she will never lay her hands on anybody, and reveals to Carolyna that she didn’t offend her directly, but instead, she (Carolyna) said a bunch of things about her sister (famed blogger Linda Ikeji).
“I’m obsessed with my sister, you go for my sister that means you and I will never be in the same space and I’ll be lovey-dovey and very nice to you”.
Carolyna responds, stating that Laura's sister had written very hurtful things about her in the past about her collapsing marriage and speculating about her daughter’s paternity. She went on to reveal that she reached out to Linda but she did not care.
“You can have a blog but don’t hurt people. Part of the reasons why my marriage broke was because of Linda. I reached out to her, she did not care. Linda wrote that my daughter was for another man, and you sit down here to defend your family, I have family too”.
Phew!
Will Carolyna and Laura be able to resolve their issues? Where will things stand between Iyabo and Laura now that Iyabo seemingly threw Laura under the bus?
The drama continues. All episodes of The Real Housewives of Lagos, including the two-part reunion, are now streaming.
