We sat down with the moms to hear why they decided to join the show, what exciting moments viewers can look forward to, and which fellow moms in the franchise they feel most connected to.
Ansu Viljoen

30-year-old Ansu, a mother of two children under four, is eager to step into a new chapter of her life. “I joined because it was something new and fun,” she says. “I love immersing myself in new experiences, learning, and growing. Personal evolution happens when you embrace fresh adventures. So when the opportunity came up, I thought, ‘This sounds exciting.’ With two little ones, I figured, ‘Why not? Let’s do this!'”
Crystal Van Der Burgh

Crystal, the daughter of a successful businessman, works closely with her father on several ventures while balancing her roles as a wife and mother of two. The 27-year-old admires the women in the franchise who embody both strength and elegance. “I really admire Mrs Mops from The Mommy Club because she’s the perfect blend of luxury and authenticity. She’s dynamic and inspirational – graceful yet grounded. She shows that you can live a fabulous life without losing sight of who you are. I respect and aspire to that balance.”
Johandri Johnson

At 33, stay-at-home mom Johandri believes The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad will captivate viewers with its genuine portrayal of motherhood. “If you’re looking for something real, relatable, and entertaining, The Mommy Club is for you!” she says. “The show gives an honest look at modern motherhood, friendships, and personal growth. Of course, like any reality show, there’s drama and conflict, but what makes our show stand out is the raw authenticity. The cast is unapologetically ourselves, sharing real experiences, struggles, and triumphs.”
Louise Volschenk

Entrepreneur Louise embodies the idea of authenticity in both her business and personal life. Reflecting on her role on the show, the 38-year-old says, “I bring the truth, the laughs, and a little bit of chaos—but in the best way possible. I say what everyone else is thinking but is too scared to say.”
Tessa Tullues

Tessa, a former Mrs South Africa finalist, is passionate about using her platform to make a positive impact. “I joined The Mommy Club to inspire moms to stay strong through tough times,” says the 36-year-old. “I want to offer hope to all the mothers out there.”
