The Real Housewives of Durban S4: Slee meets Nonku's ex
They say there are always three sides to a story: your side, my side and the truth. While we’ve heard a bit about Nonku’s experience with her ex, RD, we were itching to hear his side of the story about their breakup. RD, who featured on a few episodes of The Real Housewives of Durban’s previous season, had a chance to share his version of events during a conversation with Slee.
Yes, Slee met up with Nonku’s ex-partner after he allegedly reached out to her.
In a chat with Ameigh and Sorisha, she revealed: “So, RD reached out to me.” She said she agreed to meet with him because she in the hot seat last year “and people were claiming that I was saying some ish about their relationships”. Sorisha wanted to add more context to the story because Ameigh wasn’t part of the last season.

What scam?
She shared: “And that’s when it got so like 'Oh my gosh, you’re fighting against this relationship. You’re going out of your way to make sure this relationship is strained’. So, it became a thing with Slee, Nonku and Jojo about her just saying that she’s not blessing this union.” Slee mentioned that RD would help her to heal and move on from the hurdle because she just can’t let it go.
She finally got the chance to meet with him. She asked what happened with the scamming story. Nonku had claimed that her ex scammed her. “She’s never told me that I scammed her. And I’ve never taken a cent out of her pocket,” he replied. He added that he was helping her with a project that was falling apart. He also mentioned that there were no courts involved in their matter, as Nonku had claimed. According to Slee, Nonku realised that RD wasn’t as monied as she thought he was.

Nonku is ready to mingle
Meanwhile, Nonku is on a healing journey and is even seeing a therapist. “I stared therapy with everything that happened in the previous year with the ladies and my own personal things. When her therapist asked how she’s been, she responded: “I don’t think I liked uNonku that I saw in the mirror,” adding: “When I looked in the mirror I saw a person that was taken advantage of. I just saw that I was weak.”
Nonku said she went against her values, beliefs and standards. “There’s certain things that I set as values for myself which I compromised on. Allowing somebody into my home, meeting my children, all of that was out of character.” She does take some responsibility for the role she played. “Alcohol had a huge part in it,” she also said.
Nonku then mentioned that while she gets a lot of attention from the opposite sex, she hasn’t allowed herself to open up and trust. She revealed that there are two people in her life: one who spoils her with flowers and dinners (and has a girlfriend), and another one who lives in America. “I’m ready to be in a relationship,” she concluded.
