Women take control in Adulting S3, shaking the gents to their core
The tables have turned in Adulting Season 3, and the women in the gents' lives are no longer playing by their rules.
In previous seasons, Bonga, Mpho, Eric, and Vuyani went about their business, making decisions that often left the women in their lives hurt and frustrated. But this season? The women are commanding their presence, shaking things up, and ensuring that the men feel the full force of their power.

Whether it’s Nkanyezi (Londeka Sishi) standing her ground against Bonga’s desire for children before she’s ready or Mpho’s ex-wife Zithulele (Lungile Duma) keeping him under financial and emotional strain, tough times are lasting. Meanwhile, Eric’s girlfriend, Mampho (Gaisang Noge), pushes him to step up — while he finds himself caught between her and Minkie (Samkelo Ndlovu), the woman he just can’t seem to shake off. Vuyani, on the other hand, has found great success with his new club, V-UNights, launched with Beth’s support. Meanwhile, he’s entangled in a risky affair with another minister’s girlfriend, while Beth’s daughter continues to lure him into temptation.
These women are rocking the men’s boats and keeping them on their toes.

Baby mama drama

Mpho has been juggling financial burdens that don’t seem to end. He’s paying off a house he no longer lives in, supporting the kids, and dealing with the growing influence of Steve, Zithulele’s new man, on his children.
Lungile Duma, who plays Mpho’s ex-wife Zithulele, reflects on how her character has changed drastically: “Last season, Zithulele was the nice wife - easy-going and forgiving. This season, she’s bitter and relentless in Mpho’s life. This brings out a version of her that’s rude and aggressive. I believe love can bring out the best or worst versions of yourself, and for Zithu, she’s at her worst.”
Trouble in the Tembe household

Bonga has long been the cool-headed, smooth-talking guy of the group, but this season, his wife Nkanyezi refuses to let him skate by. Their biggest clash is their decision to have children. Nkanyezi is adamant about not wanting a baby, but Bonga isn’t on the same page.
Londeka Sishi, who plays Bonga’s wife Nkanyezi, speaks on how her character is navigating this rocky terrain: "I think she makes an effort to really let her walls down. She has fallen in love with Bonga but still has quite a few triggers. We get to see her fight throughout the season." The power dynamic has shifted, and for the first time, Bonga finds himself uncertain in his own home.
Stuck between two women: Halle Berry vs Sarafina

We met Mampho last season as Eric’s therapist helping him navigate fatherhood. She is now his girlfriend - but his feelings for Minkie remain just as strong.
Gaisang Noge, who plays Mampho, believes the women are the driving force of the season: “I realised while reading the script that the ladies are the fire behind everything these men are going through, whether good or bad. They’re the ignition to the heat these guys are feeling.”
Meet Naledi, Mpho’s new love interest

Enter Naledi, played by Mapaseka Koetle, a new woman in Mpho’s life who is about to stir things up even further. “She’s a mom, and she becomes Mpho’s love interest, which is going to be very interesting because Mpho has a lot of problems,” Koetle teases.
With all the chaos surrounding him, Naledi presents something different - something steady, or at least, that’s what it seems at first. “I think people will get to see a different side of Mpho because of Naledi,” she adds.
Known for her long-running role in Scandal!, Koetle was thrilled to join the cast of Adulting. “When I got the call, I was so excited but also nervous. I’ve played Dintle for so long, and I wondered how people would receive me in a different role. But more than anything, I was up for the challenge.”
On working with Tshedza Pictures, she says, “It was on my wish list, and I had to tick that off. Hopefully, this is just the beginning.”
Catch all the fire, the fights, and the passion as Adulting Season 3 continues to drop new episodes exclusively on Showmax. The final episode will stream on Showmax from 19 April 2025.
