BBNaija: All Stars - Here's how the first Sunday Live Eviction show of the season went down
The first Sunday Live Eviction of the BBNaija All Stars season, available to live stream on Showmax, brought interesting turns, plus some candid conversation with the housemates, true Ebuka style.
None of the All Stars housemates got booted out of Biggie's House as it had been announced that this week's eviction was fake, thus giving the Housemates an extra week in the BBNaija All Stars house.
From Biggie's twists to a star performance, here’s all that went down on the first BBNaija All Stars Sunday Live Eviction show of the season.
Meet the BBNaija All Stars Housemates
Black Envelope challenge
Fans were re-introduced to the concept of the Black Envelope challenge, which entails a physical black envelope containing a note that is hidden inside the House. The Housemates have 15 minutes to find it, and whoever finds it wins immunity for the week.
Pardon Me Please
Another concept that fans were introduced to was Pardon Me Please. This is a new twist to the usual nominations, and it will take place following the Head of House game, and the Black Envelope challenge. Housemates will have the opportunity to sell themselves to each other, for a chance to be pardoned
from possible eviction. They will then go into the diary room, and nominate one Housemate for immunity.
Eviction jury
Starting next week, at every Live Eviction show, there will be four past BBNaija Housemates who will form a jury to deliberate and decide on who among the bottom Housemates will be evicted from the show.
Ebuka chats with the Housemates
Ebuka shared his disappointment with the Housemates over their wager task presentation.
“I was like, what the hell is going on? I’m not sure why it was all over the place,” he said.
Moving on to Head of House Adekunle: he was asked if he was intentionally acting diplomatic, and playing safe. Adekunle responded that being the HoH does not mean he has to tell or force people into doing anything since the wager is for everybody.
“If you are not taking it as seriously that means you don’t want to win it. I do not think after experiencing the show from one season, I should come here and be carrying the whole matter on my head. We win or lose as a team, that is how I saw it,” he said.
Ebuka then moved to Soma and asked if he knew why Adekunle picked him as a BFF. Soma replied saying: “I guess we bonded on the first day, we had a tete-a-tete.”
Ebuka went further to ask if the BFF bond now forces his loyalty to Adekunle. Soma responded, “I will be loyal to him because I want to be, not because he picked me.”
Ebuka also questioned Seyi’s loyalty, since he was also chosen as a BFF. Seyi responded saying they are there to play a game.
The next Housemate Ebuka moved to was Mercy and he asked why the season looked like a boy versus girl dynamic. Mercy responded saying she thought the season should be a woman's.
“I think this season should be a woman’s season. We have to support each other. I want us to dead the
rivalry between two top girls, three top girls. I want all of us to shine.”
Ebuka then asked Doyin about her thoughts on Mercy’s opinion. Doyin replied, “It is a good vision to have, but I don’t think it's going to happen.”
Ebuka also asked Uriel if there is a difference coming back on the show. Uriel responded that her set was warmer and they were vibing, but now it is survival of the fittest.
Moving onto Kiddwaya, Ebuka also asked him if it felt different coming back to the show. Kiddwaya replied, “I definitely know that it's now more of a game, and people are playing the game, as opposed to we are all just here as a family, let's just chill, and vibe, boarding school, whatever, now it's more of a game, and we are seeing that in both genders.”
The question-and-answer session ended with Cross as Ebuka asked what his opinion was on women winning the show. Cross responded that women get it more easily than men when they come out of the show, and Frodd added that it depends on your “hustle", stressing that brands outside are more female-friendly.
"Ebuka make it a case for married men to win this season,” he concluded.
Odumodublvck hits the stage
Rounding off the Sunday Live Eviction show was Odumodublvck, who hit the BBNaija All Stars stage to perform his hit single Declan Rice.
