Resh from The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice on being a "girls' girl"

We sat down with Resh from Showmax Original reality series The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice to find out what it was like filming the show with her twin sister and children, and the love she’s got from fans. Stream new episodes on Thursdays on Showmax.

What was your first impression of all the ladies? 

Losh: My favourite mommy of all time!

Kim: Cutest mom-to-be with the best preggy style ever!

Asharia: Sweet mommy

Devina: Quiet mommy

Neetasha: Is she a mom or a model? 

Lenore: Stylish mom

Abigail: Confident mommy

Christina: Talkative mommy

Who of the ladies do you gravitate towards the most?

Losh, Kim and Abigail.

How was your first day filming? 

OMG! The first day was crazy. We started shooting at 7am. There were cameras and mics everywhere! It was the most surreal day filled with nerves and excitement but I loved every minute of it! It was especially fun because Mia, Thishae and I visited Losh and the girls on the first day of filming and to share this experience together was truly special. 

Which of the ladies are different on- and off-camera and how are they different? 

All the moms are the same on- and off-screen.

The biggest lesson you learnt about yourself while filming?  

It’s okay to have a voice! I am really a girls’ girl so it was really difficult for me to voice my opinion because I didn’t want to offend the other mommies. I learnt to say how I felt in a demure and mindful manner!

⁠How do people treat you now that you’re on a TV show?

People have been incredible. It feels a bit crazy when people treat us like celebrities, but Losh and I have  been getting so much love and we are so grateful for the support.

⁠What can viewers expect in the upcoming episodes?

I think viewers should see the first few episodes as character introductions, and they can expect a lot more depth and character development from the moms. I think the viewers are in for a treat as they discover more about the ladies,  their families, their careers, their culture and their personalities.

Losh - sugar and a sprinkle of spice
