Second Family Season 2 episodes 37-38 recap: The fallout from Sinde's murder
In the latest drama-packed episodes of Second Family, the Gatehis are thrown into chaos by Evangeline’s arrest and Lizzy continues to orchestrate her attack on The Syndicate. Here’s a recap of the most shocking moments:
Evangeline is arrested

As we kick off the week, the Gatehi mansion is thrown into chaos when Evangeline gets hauled away by the cops, accused of murdering Sinde. When the family discovers Sinde's lifeless body in the car trunk, they struggle to accept she’s innocent.
Joel and Gigi’s suspicions about Sinde’s murder

While the family grapples with the shock of Sinde's death and Evangeline's arrest, Joel expresses his doubts about Evangeline's involvement. Gigi, too, starts feeling that something doesn't add up.
Bett’s fury leads him to forgive his father

Sinde's death hits Bett hard. As his grief transforms into fury, he turns his back on Evangeline and makes peace with Leo, who welcomes him back with open arms.
Shei shows her sinister side

Shei is shocked to discover Sinde’s body in Evangeline’s car. Especially considering she’d had Sinde’s remains cremated after she murdered her. Still, whoever is framing Evangeline has given Shei a perfect "out" with Evangeline going down for a crime she committed. Unless, of course, Dora can remember what she saw that day at the hospital…
Dora’s dangerous revelation

In a breakthrough moment, Dora starts regaining her memories. She recalls witnessing Shei in Sinde's hospital room, unplugging life support machines. Dora's recollection becomes a crucial piece in exposing Shei's dark deeds, but it places her in a dangerous situation. How far is Shei willing to go to protect her secret?
Tehi demands his inheritance

With Evangeline behind bars, Tehi demands she sign over Senior’s estate to him. Evangeline refuses to do so, even when Tehi threatens her at gunpoint.
Lizzy’s deceptive master plan and Dr Masinde’s arrest

Pulling the strings behind the scenes, Lizzy admits to her mother, Dr Masinde, that she orchestrated Evangeline’s demise in a bid to take down Kiilu. However, her deception goes much deeper than that when we realise that it’s all part of her plan to take down The Syndicate, one by one, even if that includes her own mother!
