Pastor Wants A Wife S2: 4 things Pastor Modisakeng doesn’t want in a woman
Finding the perfect partner isn’t the easiest thing to do, even for men of God. Fortunately, these days there are dating shows that are dedicated to helping people on their quest to find the one. On Season 2 of Pastor Wants A Wife, viewers are introduced to Pastor Tshegofatso Modisakeng. The 35-year-old poultry farmer wants a solid connection with a woman that he can build a life with.
Although he’s looking for love, there are some things that he won’t tolerate in a relationship. The pastor takes his deal-breakers seriously and would rather end things in order to remain true to himself. So, what do his deal-breakers look like? Well, we’re glad you asked. We’ll go through a few of them below.
No drunkards, please
At the beginning of the show, the Rustenburg-based pastor got to chat to his 10 potential wives individually. He couldn’t see their faces as they were separated by a barrier. During their chat, he asked one of the women: “Do you drink alcohol?” She said: “Yes, I do occasionally.”
When asked if drinking is a sin, she replied: “Not really. It is a sin if you get drunk and do things that are out of control…” While Pastor Modisakeng doesn’t mind a pastor’s wife who drinks, he has a problem with a “drunkard pastor’s wife”.
Keep the same energy
Something else that the pastor doesn’t want is a two-faced woman. He explained this after being asked what kind of wife he’d like to have. This applies both in the church context and his love life.
He replied: “I would prefer someone who is the same everywhere, you know? She shouldn’t have any masks.” She wasn’t happy with his answer, but life has to go on, right?
No high expectations over here
While it’s good to have high standards, some people like it better if you lower them a bit. During an elimination, Pastor Modisakeng said one of the ladies had “high expectations” that he couldn’t meet.
“I’m a simple man. Besides the fact that I’m a pastor, I’m human and the expectations that you have for me are too high so, I’m just gonna have to let you go,” she told the lady.
Ancestors are a no-no
The pastor also believes in being with someone that he’s equally yoked with. Anything outside of that would be a problem for him. We got to see just how seriously he takes this after eliminating a potential wife because she believes in ancestors and has an ancestorial calling.
“Buhle had to be eliminated because it’s conflict of interest,” he explained. Pastor Modisakeng continued: “I personally don’t believe in what she believes in. She’s deep into ancestors and I’m not deep into ancestors. I tried to explain this to her, and she just didn’t want to understand my view.”
Are these deal-breakers valid, or the pastor asking for too much? You be the judge of that! Watch the second season of Pastor Wants A Wife on Showmax.
